Hun – Dark Horns and Silent Light

This piece features Hun, a silver-haired character with prominent horns, brought to life through a layered digital painting process. Below is a breakdown of the full workflow:

🖊 Sketch & Layout – MediBang Paint:
The illustration began with rough sketching in MediBang Paint, where I explored poses and facial structure. I focused on the compositional balance, carefully placing elements on the canvas to guide the viewer’s eye—especially emphasizing the horns and the flow of Hun’s hair as focal points.

🎨 Rendering & Blending – SAI 2:
Once the sketch was solid, I transitioned to SAI 2 for the rendering phase. Here, I worked extensively with blending brushes, building up soft gradients for skin and fabric, and integrating ambient lighting around the character.

💡 Lighting Effects & Texture:
Special attention was given to lighting. I used additive layers and screen modes to simulate subtle glows and bounce light, giving Hun an ethereal feel. I also applied texture overlays to enrich the background and armor elements without overwhelming the character.

This piece was both a technical and emotional study, capturing Hun’s quiet intensity through light, composition, and atmosphere. Feedback is always welcome—thank you for viewing!
