New Cover Practice — “Brutalist Magic: Book 1”

Here’s my latest cover practice piece!

For this illustration, I wanted to push a more brutalist fantasy aesthetic, mixing hard shapes, heavy contrast, and a dramatic grayscale palette with subtle cyan highlights. It was a fun experiment and definitely helped me refine my workflow for future commissions and cover projects.

I handled everything from sketch to final render using Medibang Paint, SAI2, and some final adjustments in Affinity by Canva. Each new project like this is a step toward strengthening my portfolio and exploring more expressive visual styles.
